On my hunt for the BEST OUTDOOR DINING experience during this pandemic in Washington, Ristorante Picolinos wins! Safe distancing, intimate but spacious, wonderfully decorated, heaters & blankets, & the Italian food is solid & won't break the bank. You can't beat housemade pasta! I've been there twice now during this season and both times did not disappoint. They even had live music with a great piano player there.
Excellent outdoor dining with great fireplace tables. Food was superb and service excellent! These folks are doing it right!
I came here for the first time for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and it was the perfect place to celebrate! It was warm, romantic, the service was exceptional, and the food was so good! Our server Arlen took such good care of us! I loved the restaurant so much I came back again three days later with my friends! They had live music playing and blankets to use if you get cold. There are also heating lamps all through the seating area and propane fires in the middle of some of the tables. Really good place to go out for dinner right now during Covid times, I highly recommend it!
Oh my gosh, I can't stop talking about this spot! The outdoor seating was a nice ambiance, heaters, cute lighting, and a live Violinist! The food was delicious, we had this salad that had pears, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, pistachios, some kind of cheese and a balsamic vinegarett, all on buttered lettuce, it was perfect! Also had the lobster bisque that was like WOW, and for the main course we had the special - crab, scallops and shrimp in a white sauce with angel hair pasta. Oh and Prosecco! I will be going back and I highly recommend!
Awesome food! Great ambience! Best Italian restaurant for me.
Great big outdoor seating space, covered and heated, romantic and great service!
Really great ambience with plenty of heat, soft music, comfy seating, and a pretty scenery and table-setting. Perfect for outdoor dining safely during the winter cold or rain. While the ambience was great, the thing that Picolinos stands out for is their food. I've tried a lot of their dishes, and they're all to die for. This is now my most favorite Italian restaurant in Washington. It's going to be hard for any other place to top this. I sometimes just dream about their food. Overall, great and friendly service, perfect ambience, and mouth-watering courses. Can't wait to come back and dine again!
I am totally in love with this place! The food is AMAZING and the staff are very professional and kind. Picolinos is my new favorite Italian place! Highly recommend and pandemic approved :)
This is a great place the food is wonderful, If they have the pork belly ravioli on the menu get it. Yum! Great place for a date night. The place has a sweet charm and romantic quality to it , the staff are professional its a great dining experience and I can't wait to go back soon.
Great vibes, good food and excellent live music.
Lots of space outside with heaters. Amazing food.
Food amazing, wine and deserts as well!
Awesome service, perfectly prepared food. Great ambiance in their outdoor dining area.
Wow! Is all I can say. Amazing everything.
During this crazy pandemic I really didn't know what to expect for an anniversary dinner at Picolinos. Both of us were very surprised to be seated at a fire pit table which let us warm and made for a romantic setting. The food was delicious and our drinks were yummy! So happy Picolinos invested in such a robust outdoor seating area, it made our night magical.
I want to preface this review by being very gentle with it in this time of the pandemic and what small business owners like myself are dealing with...I know how tough it is and how much we need to pivot to stay open. This is not a review to talk bad about the restaurant itself but our specific experience. After seeing some amazing pictures on social media, we made 8:30 p.m. reservations for my girlfriend's birthday. We were not let down! Their outdoor dining area was awesome. Heat lamps all over, holiday decorations we're up... beautiful! After ordering our food, we noticed it was taking a long time for it to come out. When the server finally came with our food, my order was correct (chicken marsala), but we realized that the dish that my girlfriend had ordered was wrong (she ordered pasta with wild mushrooms). So we asked the waiter to take it back to have it corrected. A few minutes later he came out and mentioned that the specific noodle for her dish was out but they would put the topping on a different type of noodle. We were totally cool with that. Then he came out again a few minutes later and basically said that they were out of all the ingredients to make her particular dish. After he explained to us that several of the items on the menu were sold out, we just decided to share my dish. I asked the server how in the past 20 minutes of our order being put in did they not know that they were out of the ingredients. He mentioned that the chef had known but for some reason put a different topping on it anyway to serve it to us. It was all very confusing. With no more than a few bites of our shared dish, the server came out with her original dish in its entirety. Ten minutes earlier they were completely out of all the ingredients, but yet there he was. He did ask if we still wanted it or if we wanted to take it to go. We politely declined. At that point, the overall experience was slightly tainted so we opted to forgo dessert and just get the bill and leave. Maybe because it was late in the evening and the restaurant was in the process of closing, the server didn't really apologize for the inconvenience which for restaurant like that I would have expected. He certainly wasn't rude about anything, but based on the bizarre sequence of events for our dinner, he didn't go above and beyond. So takeaway: outdoor set up, solid 5 stars, food, 3.5 stars, service 3 stars. Yes I would go back to support this business! Just hope this was a one off.
I'm so glad this place is open and feels so normal during covid times..ambience is excellent and so is the food..sea food apitizers we had was awesome..beautiful place for date night or family dinner. Service was excellent..can't wait to come again ?
The food was good. The staffs were accommodating.
They do a really good job making good affordable Italian food.
Fantastic food, great vibe!
They have done a spectacular job of tenting up for Covid. They also have great live music on Friday nights. The last 2 Friday's I have went there. The food was very bland. We were a 4 top. All of us felt the same way. The calamari is flavorless. Being a Italian place they could sure use some garlic and basil in their offerings. I had the Oso buco. It was so flavorless I was thankful they had salt on the table. Ambiance is on point. Really nice actually. Tried it 2 weeks in a row. Avoid the Brussel sprouts.
I had a fantastic dinner here. The waiters were all really nice. The food was great! I recommend the ravioli for something different. Great holiday decor as well!!
Good food and friendly wait staff. Me and the wife refer to the bread you can get at the attached caffe as “drug” bread its so damn good!
Very good meal thank you!
The food was Delicious! The table decor was adorable and festive. The dessert menu we were given was actually the bar menu
Tented, COVID safe, and great entertainment. Food didn't change with the disease, obey the rules and you'll enjoy
Some of the best food I've had in years. The Pork Belly Ravioli, Mushroom Pizza and Chicken Milanese were out of this world. Great service! Lovely place.
Pretty darn good.
This felt like a one hit wonder. First time we sat outside with our own private fire. So romantic and dreamy. The server was excellent and the food was really good. We couldn't wait to go back. The second time we sat inside. The server barely knew the menu and the food was so bad I couldn't eat it. So disappointing. We will try again and sit outside when it's not raining.
11/28/2020- Dining in the outdoor area all decorated for Christmas was nice. It ticked all my "a" words for dining out. 1. The atmosphere was pleasant, Christmas decor was very pretty and the music from the violin was nice. 2. Attentive staff with great attitudes. 3. All the food was appetizing and delicious.
We had a marvelous time! With the wonderful service, live music and good eats, we were thrilled to be there! Plus, there was fun and festive Christmas decor which made it all the more special!!
Really good prions bit small but hip place
I love the ambiance! Perfect for a romantic dinner. The food was excellent! We plan on having Picolinos as a regular go-to!!
We ate there last night in the beautiful outdoor setting. It was warm, distanced from other parties, decorated with serval lighted holiday trees.. gorgeous setting and AMAZING food, wine and incredible service!! We will 100% be back soon!
Really delicious Italian food, love the ambiance here.
Great service and excellent foods
The food and service here is absolutely wonderful and a great atmosphere.
Amazing food, great place for family dining
The food and the ambiance was really nice.
The food were served well. The atmosphere was nice and friendly.
I love eating in their patio. It makes me relax.
I love the pasta here, bison ragu was amazing. Beautiful restaurant with very Italian atmosphere. Pizza is typical napolitana which is not my preference but it was really good. Also really large menu so you will definitely find something for everyone. And they have home made gelato.
We have been going Picolino’s for about 10 years now, it’s our “go to” restaurant for special family events. Lately I have been disappointed with the inconsistency of the food. The veal parpadelle can be perfectly prepared and presented on one occasion & then dry or half parpadelle & half fettuccini or some other pasta on occasion; sometimes it has carrots, on other nights it does not. Tonight the pasta special was seafood pasta with “lobster claw”, shrimp & scallops. It came with some kind of skinny crustacean claw, definitely not a Maine lobster or thick lobster claw meat. It was more like a crab claw. The “scallops” were 1 scalllop. Lastly, we have asked for bread on the side for our 2 last take out orders. Last time there was no bread. Tonight I asked the gentleman who took our order to add bread. When I went in to pick up order I asked if there was bread in the carry out bag. I was assured there was bread, got home, no bread. Picolinos can be great, but lately it has been inconsistent and disappointing. They can do better with consistency. It’s a lovely atmosphere & we hope it regains some of the consistency it had when it opened. Thanks for the response. I was not rude to the staff. I made a simple request for a few pieces of bread (not a loaf of bread). I didn’t think it was an unusual request ; your restaurant generously provides with each entree when you dine in. I don’t mind paying for bread if that’s what would be required for takeout, but paying for bread was not mentioned to me as an option when I made the order/request. When I called back to let your staff know it was disappointing there was no bread, your staff member (very) sarcastically told me “Oh, we’ll make sure you get extra bread next time” it was a rude response, I wasn’t asking for more bread, I was calling to let you know your staff made a simple mistake. . My review of the food was honest, this was honestly not the first time the food has been inconsistent there. We have had more good experiences at your restaurant than bad. I understand your staff is probably stressed with the current situation. I will admit, a 2 star review was unfair. Your restaurant deserves the 4 star & above most of the time. I don’t think the customer is always right, but there are 2 sides to every story. 3 stars (at best) reflect my latest experience.
I enjoy the chicken marsala the busboy was cute however the waiter could hone in on his upselling or at least recommendations
I really liked the ambiance. the service was friendly and alright. the cuisine is there but what I tried was a tad bland. maybe chefs aren't tasting their efforts as much, due to panD. no actual complaint. bumping up to four because the atmosphere and easygoing feeling from the staff. we had enough people that made it covid mandatory for two separate tables, so we sat at two adjacent tables and played musical chairs, depending who we wanted to talk to. it was fun. it was family.
The food was good as well as the place.
Brilliant, cozy, classy, romantic, delicious, Italy. A strong 5 stars.
I felt like I was in Italy when I walked into this place. This restaurant is unlike any other in Seattle. Loved the ambience! The outdoor seating in the back is really nice. Loved the food and the desserts. Will be back!
I was anxious to eat outdoors at Piccolinos after reading about the setting with the garden and bird feeders etc. I called to make a reservation and was told the outdoor seating was first come first serve . We arrived and were seated at a high top table with bar stools inside a tent . Multiple outdoor tables were empty . VERY DISAPPOINTED
Beautiful venue, live accordion player, fantastic food. We will be returning!
